What type of skateboard/long board should i buy?

i want to buy a new skateboard/longboard but dont no wat to buy. The only thing that i want is for transport like going to school or the shops(please dont say bike) and i dont want to do any tricks apart from the ollie. this will be my first skateboard/longboard. As for the longboard please dont recommend me one that is too long. i want one that is the same size as a normal skateboard. i want the board to roll for as long as possible when i ride it. So should i buy a skateboard or longboard and which one should i buy
