I cant understand him can anybody tell me what you think?

I really like this guy named Kenneth and he gave me his number so one day i text him and we were texing for like an hour and he said that he would text me later and he never did so 3 days ped and still no text so i had to text him so basically im texting him instead of it being the other way around well anyways he text back and we were texing for like 2 hours this time and then he said the same thing that he would text me back and he never did im so confused its hard to understand him first he gives me signs like he's into me he always calls me hunny and we flirt but why does it seem like he's pushing me away and i would call him but i dont wanna seem to forward i need a guy's opinion what should i do??
