Anyone else ever lost christmas decorations?

For Christmas, 2009, I wanted to decorate my place. Problem was that, when I went looking through my belongings, I noticed that all of the old stuff was gone. By "stuff", I mean a tree, which could be 4 ft., or 7 ft. depending on if the lower section was used. A set of tiny, plastic, white cottages (the kind where windows, etc. were painted onto paper, then glued to the plastic), some molded,plastic, figurines, which looked like cars, and trucks, lights, ornaments, and the list goes on. I guess that I only thought about this while purchasing some new, ceramic cottages. I know that I have moved around, a few times, over the years, but I could not believe all that I had lost, in less than 10 years. The very things which my parents took decades to collect, yet I lost them, in just a few years. I just wonder if anyone else has ever lost cherished decorations, which can never be replaced?
