Can someone be proud of being white?

Of course. Im black but people can be proud of being anything they are including white. However, white people tend to ociates themselves more with a location than being white i.e "Im proud to be Italian, Polish, German, etc." Also I think some white people are of the opinion that minorities care about them being proud to be white or would somehow dissent to them praising their heritage. We could care less honestly but there seems to be a mindset that their is an attack or oppression of white culture in this country which is ridiculous.
