Proxy Byp Software?

How do I byp the proxy server in my hostel for online games? The proxy blocks the security features of online games (ie. hack prevention systems like Game Guard) so that I cannot update them. Result is that I'm unable to enter the game. Can someone recommend me a virus-free freeware byp software to get around this? Many thanks!!
