Jordan needed Scottie?
If you look through history, every champion in the NBA has had players that bought into the "team first" theory, including M.J. The Bulls didn't win until he did. The Lakers of the 80's were successful because they played "Team Basketball". Sure, they had their share of all-stars, but they were all-stars because they played as a team, and made each other look, and play better than others. The most dominant player ever to play the game only won two championships, Wilt Chamberlain, and that is because he didn't play team basketball for the most part. Bill Russell was a great player, but wasn't near the talent level of Wilt, yet his teams won championships year after year. All because the Celtics of the 60's were a TEAM. You can discuss this forever, but the discussion will always come back to what individual player played the best team basketball.
