Have you ever been a victim of a romantic liar (person who misrepresents himself/herself)? Tell me your story!

It took me a while to accept the harsh reality, especially since I am a very honest person and I never expected anything in return but honesty. But, the truth is that there are many people out there, men and women who are ready to say about anything to get other people to fall for them. My story with K. is sort of clichee. We met online, he kept telling me these great stories about how he rebelled against the system, great deeds of his and so on and so forth. He made it a point to tell me how he was sick of liars and s, and how he wanted a honest woman... Soon enough small inadvenrtences started appearing and I ignored them. All my friends were telling me he is deceiving me, but I was sure that they couldn't see the great person he was. Untill he went in a trip to Antactica with National Geographic. He didn't come back when he said he would and I became worried. I called NG, and there was no expedition to Antarctica and they never heard of him. So< i waited for him to come back,
